Nestled in the Woodberry neighborhood along the Jones Falls River and on the outskirts of I-83 is Union Craft Brewing, just a quick drive from Liberty Harbor East and a local favorite. Union Craft Brewing was founded in the fall of 2011 and is infamous for its delicious beer, which you’ll often see on tap at local restaurants, like their Duckpin Pale Ale and Skipjack Pilsner. The brewery is a unique and fun space to hangout in, and they even have a great outdoor area with games and entertainment. Tours of the brewery are offered on Saturdays at 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm. The location is shared with other local businesses like rock climbing business Earth Treks, coffee shop Vent Coffee Roasters, and ice cream shop The Charmery. Be sure to check out the brewery and enjoy the outdoor entertainment space, sip on a beer and challenge a friend to a game of corn hole this summer.

Located North of Highlandtown and South of Route 40 is Monument City Brewing Company. Founded by two brothers, Matt and Ken, their vision for the brewery is to focus on producing honest craft beer using traditional American brewing methods. The Pagoda Pale Ale (yes, like the pagoda in Patterson Park) is a seasonal crowd pleaser, and the 51 Rye is often found at local restaurants. Head over to the taproom to get a front row seat to the German-designed brewhaus, located in a historic Baltimore industrial building. Be sure to sample flights and pints of craft beers that are only available in house, and if you’re interested in history, ask your bartender about the history of the tap handles.

Our next “brewery” isn’t exactly that. Situated in Mount Vernon is Charm City Meadworks, Baltimore's first meadery. Mead is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey with water, sometimes with various fruits, spices, grains, or hops. It’s neither beer nor wine. At Charm City Meadworks, they create two types of mead: still and draft. Still mead resembles more of a wine as it’s barrel aged and not bubbly, whereas draft mead is closer to a beer due to its carbonation. With a vast array of flavors from floral to fruity and everything in between, you'll want to head over and explore the taproom to try a sample of all the different varieties. We promise you won’t regret it!

Peabody Heights Brewery is located on the site of the Old Oriole Park V, which was the home of the Baltimore Orioles’ minor league team. In 1944, the park was destroyed by a fire, but a small section of the original stadium still remains and was incorporated into the brewery. The tasting room is open to visitors every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, and you can partake in tours of the facilities and even relive some of the history of the space as you sip one of their beers. Peabody Heights Brewery offers three year-round beers in addition to numerous seasonal and limited varieties. In 2017, Lost Python Ale was created in honor of Mr. Trash Wheel when a three-foot python was found in the trash collected in the Inner Harbor.

Across the harbor in Locus Point is Diamondback Brewing Co. The 6,800-square-foot brewery and 50-seat taproom opened in Locus Point back in 2016, but their first product the 3:30 Amber Ale entered the local market in November 2014. Diamondback Brewery is a production brewery and lively tasting room offering flights, samples, pints, growlers, and six-packs to go. Diamondback is known for its Green Machine IPA, but in the taproom other beers can be found like DQ’D with Tangerine a pale ale with tangerine, Ostend Sundays a pineapple blonde ale, Spelled Out a spelt pale ale, and many more. Diamondback brews small batch beers skewed towards one-off styles, they self-distribute all product in the Baltimore-Metropolitan area, and serve pints in their taproom five days a week.

Based in Baltimore’s Brewers Hill community, Mobtown Brewing Company is a neighborhood brewery featuring fresh, unique and adventurous beer. From 1872 to 1978, Brewer’s Hill was home to the National Brewing Company and once this brewery left a part of Brewers Hill was missing - Mobtown Brewing Company put the brew back in Brewers Hill! They use innovative fermentation, souring, and aging techniques to artfully craft an experience that can only be enjoyed when drinking one of their delicious beers. Some of the beers you can find in the tasting room are the Citrine IPA with hints of orange, the first beer they ever brewed the 41 Year Lager, Peach Death Combo, and many more.
