Help From Home
There is plenty that you can do right from your very own apartment. Chances are you already know how to reduce, reuse and recycle, but did you know that there are lots of little ways to be more environmentally friendly in your daily routine? Here are some tips to try:
- Incorporate reusable bags, cups, and other low-waste swaps into your routine
- Wash your laundry with cold water instead of hot water
- Write a letter to local politicians and encourage them to support environmental legislation
- Turn off lights when you’re not using them
- DIY a bottle of eco-friendly household cleaner
- Pay rent and other bills online to save paper
- Unplug chargers and other electronics when they are not in use
- Seek out environmentally-conscious brands when you shop
