Celebrate Halloween With Frightfully Fun Baltimore EventsOctober 21, 2021
Halloween is nearly here! Liberty Harbor East residents, it’s time to show off your creative costume ideas, indulge in some festive eats, and enjoy some of Baltimore’s best Halloween parties and parades.
Did you know that the earliest celebrations of Halloween can actually be traced back thousands of years? Originally, the end of the harvest season was marked by Samhain, a Celtic holiday. Of course, Halloween looks a little different now in the 21st century, but it’s still a great time to mark the start of a new season and celebrate all that we have.
Halloween Events at Local Haunts
Ready to celebrate the spooky season in Baltimore this year? Check out these frightfully fun local events:
Experience Dia de los Muertos, a traditional Mexican celebration that commemorates passed family members. Hosted by the Creative Alliance, the free event will take place on Saturday, October 30th between noon-3pm. Festival guests will be treated to house-made hot chocolate and Day of the Dead bread.
Bask in the glow of hundreds of beautiful jack o’ lanterns and illuminated sculptures at Garden Glow. This unique event will be held at the Ladew Topiary Gardens from Thursday, October 21st to Saturday, October 23rd.
