Liberty Harbor East Residents: Say Hello to Summer
June 13, 2022The Summer Solstice, on June 21st, marks the beginning of a new season, as indicated by Earth’s axis being tilted the most toward the sun. Cultures around the world celebrate this celestial event in various ways —from Midsummer in Scandinavia, to the Midnight Sun Game in Alaska. Festivals throughout various countries are held to commemorate the warmer months through dancing, drinking, and having fun.
June 21st also marks International Yoga Day! Yoga is a form of movement that holistically combines the mind, body, and spirit to create a sense of relaxation and peace. As a relatively new holiday, there are no age-old traditions besides heading to your yoga mat. Whether you want to try Vinyasa or Yin Yang yoga, there are so many amazing yoga studios in Baltimore to practice and cultivate your own flow!
