Breast Cancer Awareness in BaltimoreOctober 11, 2022
1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime. The month of October is dedicated to raising awareness surrounding this important topic to ensure that women are educated about their risk and have access to resources that can help them receive a diagnosis. Breast Cancer Awareness Month also helps raise funds that ensure access to life-saving mammograms and health education.
Making a Difference at Liberty Harbor East
You can take part in raising awareness right here in your own home! Liberty Harbor East will be participating in the “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink” campaign, with pink treats being offered each Wednesday of the month. Liberty is also partnering with The Brem Foundation, whose goal is to help women detect breast cancer early to increase rates of survival. Throughout October, Liberty will be collecting #PenniesforPink, which will be donated to The Brem Foundation. Other events will also be held throughout the month at Liberty, so stay tuned for details.
There are also other ways to get involved in your community and raise money throughout Baltimore. Check out a few to make a difference this October:
