How to Have the Best Baltimore HalloweenOctober 15, 2023
It’s spooky season! We’ve gathered a list of some frightfully fun Halloween events happening here in Baltimore this October. Grab your ghouls and enjoy a fun night out, a festive brunch, or another one of these great local events.
Lift Your Spirits with a Halloween Party
Kick off Hallo-weekend at Power Plant Live! Their glow-themed Halloween rally starts at 10pm on Thursday. Make sure to buy a ticket in advance to secure your spot.
Barcocina in Fells Point is hosting a Halloween open bar on Saturday, October 28th from 10pm until midnight, featuring music by DJ Mic_L. A $40 ticket gets you entry to the party and access to their open bar. But, if anyone in your crew doesn’t want to partake, general admission is free. Festive attire is encouraged!
Or, check out the Halloween Divas Dance Party at the Maryland Science Center on Saturday. From the rooftop dance party to DJ sets in the planetarium, this event is a one-of-a-kind Baltimore classic.
You can also spend Saturday night on a “boo-ze” cruise with Black Pearl Yacht Party Cruise. The cruise has 3 decks, 2 live DJs, and 1 amazing harbor view — all you need to bring is your best costume.
If your vibe is more jungle than sea, check out the Baltimore Zoo’s Halloween party, running from 10am-4pm on the 28th and 29th. With games, contests, and of course cute zoo animals, there’s something for everyone at the Zoo Boo.
Get Moving and Feel “Gourd”
Want to stay active in a festive way? You can learn to square dance at the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s Spooky Square Dance night on Friday October 27th at 6pm. No experience is necessary — they’ll show you all the steps! Tickets are discounted if you buy in advance here.
You might also like the Baltimore Bike Party Halloween Ride on Friday the 27th. The ride kicks off at 6:45, and then everyone will gather for an afterparty at Union Craft Brewing.
Try Spooky Crafts & Activities
Get in touch with your creative side this Halloween! Get crafty with sugar skulls at a workshop hosted by Pariah Brewing Company at 7pm on Tuesday October 24th.
You can also visit the American Visionary Art Museum for free during their Halloween celebration on Thursday October 26th from 5-7pm. Explore the museum, then check out their mini haunted house craft.
You can become your very own mixologist and create your own witch’s brew at a Spooky Spirits Cocktail Class, hosted by Old Line Spirits on October 20th at 6:30pm. Participants will learn how to make 2 different Halloween-inspired cocktails.
Or, visit the Maryland Science Center on Saturday the 21st for a day of Spooky Science demonstrations such as glowing lights and creepy catapults.
Here for the “Boos”
Start your weekend with some spirits! Join the Baltimore Halloween bar crawl on Saturday the 28th. The fun starts at 1pm, and you can enjoy all-day drink specials from 10+ local bars. The next day, head to The Point in Fells for a $25 bottomless Halloween brunch starting at 10am. It’s the perfect way to recover after a fun night out.
Annual Halloween Events
Don’t miss the Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival on October 21st. This quintessential Baltimore event is held each year in Patterson Park for Halloween lovers of all ages. There will be a costume contest at 4:30, then when the sun goes down, the lanterns will rise.
Another beloved annual event is the Ottobar Halloween Market. This year, it will be on Saturday the 28th starting at noon. Over 30 vendors will be there with unique, handmade goods. Plus, you can try some festive cocktails while you shop.
