Liberty Harbor East’s prime location makes it central to much of Baltimore’s summer fun, from Fell’s Point and Canton to Federal Hill and the Inner Harbor. Food
Located in Hydes, Maryland, Boordy Vineyards is just a short 30-minute drive from the bustling downtown of Baltimore City. Offering wine tastings, tours of the vineyard, live music that’s sure to get you dancing, and an expansive wine shop, a trip to Boordy Vineyards offers an idyllic afternoon getaway that will leave you with nothing to “wine” about. They are open Monday–Saturday from 10am–5pm and Sunday from 1–5pm. Tours are offered Monday–Friday at 3pm and Saturday–Sunday at both 2pm and 3:30pm.

Museums and Attractions
Located on Emory Street, the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum is a 13-minute drive from Liberty Harbor East. This fascinating addition to Maryland history is open Monday–Sunday from 10am–5pm (7pm on Orioles home game nights). Adult tickets are priced at $10, with $8 tickets available for military service members and seniors.
After a trip to the Babe Ruth Museum, head over to an Orioles Baseball Game at Camden Yards. You’ll never forget this memorable trip to one of the most beautiful and scenic baseball stadiums in the country. Visit their website to sift through the games to find your favorite teams, the best giveaways, and which nights offer firework displays. Baseball and summertime go together like Liberty and Harbor East, and with your close proximity to the stadium, you’ll likely find yourself attending games weekly.

The Baltimore Museum of Art is an internationally renowned museum with over 95,000 pieces of art on display. This beautiful building is home to exquisite gardens, sculptures, and many iconic pieces of European and American art. Entry is free, and the museum is open Wednesday– Sunday from 10am–5pm. The BMA is available for group visits and tours. When you’re done exploring, head to Gertrude’s for an exceptional meal to finish off your day.
Music
The Hippodrome, located just a few blocks from the Baltimore Convention Center, is hosting Hamilton the Musical from June 25 to July 21. Tickets can be found online and offer the ultimate way to experience the nightlife of the city. The Hippodrome is a 12-minute drive from Liberty Harbor East and easily accessible via public transit. Aside from Hamilton the Musical, The Hippodrome has many showings throughout the summer which can be found here. End your night with a trip to one of Baltimore’s many 5-star restaurants and enjoy your meal and a cocktail on the patio, taking in the warm evening air.
The first Thursday of every month, WTMD Radio hosts its “First Thursday Festival.” This waterfront event lasts from May to September, giving you plenty of chances to gather your friends for this unforgettable summer adventure. This event starts at 5:30pm, and admission is free. Head to the Canton Waterfront Park to enjoy endless food, drinks, and music in the sunshine. What more could you ask for?

Power Plant Live! Is a Baltimore staple that hosts concerts, food events, and holiday celebrations throughout the summer. With genres including country, alternative rock, R&B, and many more, there is surely an event coming up that will tickle your fancy. Information regarding schedules and showtimes can be found here. As a small sneak peek, be sure to check out showtimes for Chase Rice, Galantis, Walker Hayes, and 98 Degrees, all making their Power Plant debut soon.
Outdoor Events
Films on the Pier are free, outdoor movie showings offered every Wednesday evening during July and August. Grab your best lawn chair, your favorite movie snacks, and head to Broadway Pier in Fell’s Point. Movies start at sunset, leaving you time to set up your station, watch the sunset, and enjoy the warm summer night overlooking the Inner Harbor as daylight fades away. This certainly isn’t your ordinary ‘dinner and a movie’ date.

Participants should expect to see the historic Torsk submarine as well as the USS Constellation. Ticket prices range from $20–$30, but all include a kayak, life jacket, and the tour.
