Read Across America Day, which aims to highlight the joys of reading and bring overall awareness to the importance of reading.
Reading not only sharpens the mind, increases vocabulary, improves memory, and enhances imagination, but is also said to lower stress, decrease depression, and boost sleep.
What We’re Reading
In an effort to enjoy all of the great benefits of reading, as well as increase our sense of community, Liberty Harbor East has its very own book club! Currently, we’re reading
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, a New York Times Bestseller that’s set to become a
TV show starring Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington.
In fact, Little Fires Everywhere was chosen by Reese Witherspoon herself to be the September 2017 book of the month for her virtual book club,
Hello Sunshine.
Where to Read
Aside from curling up with a good book in your Liberty Harbor East apartment, there are great places to read throughout the Liberty property.
Keeping it in the Building
Within Liberty Harbor East, you’ll find plenty of common areas perfect for immersing yourself into the wonderful world of literature.
The Common Area on the 9th floor features an abundance of tables and chairs, as well as comfy lounge chairs to relax and enjoy your book. The Clubroom, also located on the 9th floor, also offers lots of options for places to read—there are even barstools overlooking the Baltimore skyline! Best of all, is probably the Library on floor 9—after all, what could be a better place to read? The Library features several couches and comfy chairs and even has a fireplace to set the mood for your book.
Once the weather warms up, reading outside on the terrace or lounging by Liberty’s infinity-edge pool is sure to delight your senses as you enjoy a good book.
