Blooming into a Baltimore Spring
March 16, 2022Sunday, March 20th at 11:33 A.M. EDT, the March equinox occurs, marking the beginning of the Spring season. This brings about a change in the length of day and night, elongating the daytime with earlier sunrises and later sunsets. The equinox also triggers many new beginnings in nature; birds migrating northward, flowers beginning to blossom, and higher temperatures are a few common signs we notice. As we say goodbye to Winter and hello to Spring, there are a variety of ways you can welcome in the new season in Baltimore, all not too far from your home at Liberty Harbor East.
For the Fitness Gurus
On Sunday, March 20th, you can celebrate the Spring Equinox by joining yoga instructor, Marissa Walch, at Whitehall Mill in Hampden. With a flow for all levels, you can bring your friends and family for a restorative practice that will bring in the new season. Joined by White Tea Company, a lovely Sage White Rose Tea will be available after completing the practice. Whitehall Mill also has brunch available before and after class, giving you the opportunity to mix and mingle with other yogis and enjoy a tasty meal at Whitehall Mill.
Originally serving as a former battleground from the War of 1812, Patterson Park has a long history of being used for and by the citizens of Baltimore. With the addition of many architectural elements and adaptations to the grounds, the park now serves as the city’s most extensively used large park. Athletic fields and ice rinks, along with its paved walkways, provide an escape from urban life. Enjoy a walk or run and get into nature, just in time for the warm weather and sunshine of Spring.
