Ways You Can Help Protect the Earth
Getting involved in an organized event is not the only way to make a difference this Earth Day. With a few minor adjustments in your daily life, you can reduce your own carbon footprint and make Baltimore an even greater place to live.
Driving is one of the biggest sources of carbon emissions in the world, as billions of trips are taken every single day by far. Ways to help mitigate this issue are utilizing public transportation, biking, and walking. Luckily, Baltimore has a robust bus and water taxi system designed to get you from place to place without the use of a car.
Another major toll we have on the Earth is with our energy consumption. By making a few small changes, such as turning lights off when you’re not in a room and keeping thermostats at a reasonable level, you can make a major impact.
Protect Our Planet
Earth Day is an amazing time not just to reflect and appreciate our planet, but to get out there and start making a difference. Whether you participate in a clean up or make a few changes in your own life, you have the power to make a difference this Earth Day and everyday.
